Accepted students to the UMBC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program (DMSP) will be instructed to submit all required health and medical documentation to a third-party online document manager.
Students are responsible for scheduling and paying for all appointments, lab work, and immunizations.
Applicants are not to begin these requirements until instructed.
Required Documentation:
- Medical examination (physical) completed by a Primary Care Provider (Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner) within 6 months of the start of class.
- COVID-19 vaccine: Updated for the current season.
- Tuberculosis (TB) Test: Two-step PPD or Chest X-Ray. This is an annual requirement.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis: Tdap or Td vaccine administered within the past 10 years.
- Hepatitis B: Positive Surface Antibody titer or vaccine series. The vaccine series is strongly recommended.
- MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella): Positive titer or vaccine series.
- Varicella (chickenpox): Positive titer or vaccine series.
- Influenza (flu shot): Vaccine for the current flu season.
