Who Should Take This Course
The PMP® course designed for project managers who already have some hands-on experience leading projects and are ready to formalize that experience with PMI’s top credential — either a four-year degree plus 36 months leading projects in the past 8 years, or a high school diploma/GED plus 60 months leading projects in the past 8 years, along with 35 hours of PM education (which this course provides).
It’s a strong fit for practicing PMs looking to unlock more senior roles, higher pay, and credibility with employers who list PMP® as a requirement, as well as anyone who’s managed projects informally (construction, IT rollouts, event planning, etc.) and wants a recognized certification to match that experience.
Prerequisites
To sit for the PMP® exam, you’ll need to meet one of the following education and experience combinations:
Four-Year College/University Degree
36 months leading projects within the past 8 years, plus 35 hours of project management education/training or a CAPM® certification.
High School or Secondary School Diploma
60 months leading projects within the past 8 years, plus 35 hours of project management education/training or a CAPM® certification.
