Join our instructor-led courses in biotechnology, to get skills designed for the needs of biotech companies. Courses are open to public, taught online by UMBC faculty, and they can be converted to credit for admitted graduate students.

The Emergency, Disaster and Health Systems (EDHS) program at UMBC now offers non-credit professional development courses for professionals. Learn from instructors with experience in clinical simulation, mobile integrated healthcare, and emergency and disaster health.

Medical Cannabis Studies

UMBC has partnered with leading cannabis industry trainer Green Flower to provide multiple certifications and job support for the cannabis industry. For health professionals, the 16-week medical cannabis certificate focuses on key needs for industry professionals in Maryland and nationwide.

Sonography

UMBC’s Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is a CAAHEP-accredited program with industry partnerships in the Baltimore region and a 97% job-placement rate after graduation (in 2023).
