Accepted students to the UMBC Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program (DMSP) will be instructed to submit all required health and medical documentation to a third-party online document manager.
Students are responsible for scheduling and paying for all appointments, lab work, and immunizations.
Applicants are not to begin these requirements until instructed.
Required Documentation:
- Medical examination (physical) completed by a Primary Care Provider (Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner) within 6 months of the start of class.
- COVID-19 vaccines: Documentation of full vaccination (booster may be required).
- Tuberculin (TB) Test: Two-step PPD or QuantiFERON TB Gold.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis: Tdap or Td vaccine administered within the past 10 years.
- Hepatitis B series or Hep B SAB: Series is strongly recommended.
- MMR (Measles/Mumps/Rubella): Positive titer or immunization/boosters.
- Varicella (chickenpox): Positive titer or immunization/boosters.
- Influenza (flu shot) for the current flu season.
